Главными противниками южной ненорманской Руси, по его мнению, остаются лингвисты, принадлежащие к индо-европейской школе. Им было усвоено указание яфетидологов, что имя Русь скрывается в названии ресов-этрусков. Другое указание яфетидологов, что в названиях народов скрываются имена древних тотемов этих народов, воспринято автором в качестве подтверждения взглядов, сложившихся еще до знакомства с яфетической теорией.
