Киевская Коммиссия для разбора древних актов, приступая в 1878 г. к печатанию указателя к своим изданиям, определила, что полный состав его должен заключать в себе три части: 1) указатель лиц, 2) мест и 3) предметов. В исполнение этого плана, тогда-же, т. е. в 1878 г., был издан указатель личных имен. Издаваемый ныне том содержит в себе выполнение второй части общаго плана; именно в нем содержится указание имен географических.
