This book establishes an unusual and refreshing precedent for publications on architecture by narrowing its spectrum exclusively to home design as experienced here in the Lombard capital, a theme that offers a rare chance to apply a unitary and organic approach to the specifics of the phenomenon, and to some extent set a new yardstick for this type of inquiry, thereby contrasting with the often fragmentary approach adopted by sector magazines which, even in the case of special monographic issues, tend to lay undue emphasis on the innovative aspects of the projects discussed.
