The interaction between ancient Korea and the Central Asian region affected almost all spheres of life. However, even in the light of the presence of numerous material evidence, it would still be very presumptuous to talk about the direct contacts. There were often intermediaries between geographically remote states – merchants, who were a kind of relay of ideas, beliefs and even technological schemes. Nevertheless, only written sources and genetics can answer the question of direct interactions.
