The F-101 Voodoo was the second of the famous "Century Series" of USAF jet fighters. The "One O Wonder" as it came to be known, was a star from its first flight. It set speed records early in its career and was a symbol of the creative genius of the private American Aerospace Industry in the early years of the Cold War which produced so much defense innovation. The Voodoo served as a fighter, an interceptor, and as a reconnaissance star on the frontiers of the wars against communism expansionism. The Voodoo never fired a shot in anger, but it was a combat standout from Cuba to Vietnam. Like all titles in the Illustrated series, this book is dedicated to the visual history of the Voodoo, containing many previously unpublished color photos and illustrations.
