This booklet deals with the uniforms of the Norwegian army up til 1814, that is the period when Norway was part of the same kingdom as Denmark, and the short time during 1814 when Norway was entirely independent. The Armed Forces Museum booklet no. 10 by Erik C. Aagaard: Den norske haer i dansketiden - et billedhefte deals with same period. Aagaard's booklet is a more systematic survey of the uniforms of the period, but uses many later reconstructions among the pictures.
