AWX is a modern web UI and API to manage your organization’s Ansible Playbook, Inventories, Vault, and Credentials. It is the Open Source upstream project of the Ansible Automation Controller (formerly Ansible Tower). Every successful IT department needs automation for bare metal servers, virtual machines, could, containers, and edge computing. Automate your IT journey with Ansible automation technology. I’m going to teach you, example by example, how to accomplish the most common System Administrator tasks.
You will start with installing Ansible AWX in a Docker container for Fedora, Ubuntu, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and macOS using the most command package manager and archives. Each lesson shows you an overview of the most common day-by-day activities, such as how to fetch a project from SCM, set up an inventory, run an Ansible Playbook, and see the result. Each lesson summarizes an activity: interacting with containers inside the engine, the web UI, the API endpoints, the login in the API endpoints, how to create a superuser, and the web UI dashboard. It included using role-based permission (RBAC) to manage users’ consent. Included a step-by-step guide to succeeding in your journey in every lesson.
