This isn’t to say quantum computers are objectively superior to classical computers, but simply different. If classical computers were cars, quantum computers would be planes. In some cases, it makes sense to use the car – it can be impractical to take a plane for the 3 miles you need to travel. Sometimes, though, it makes sense to fly for a few hours instead of trying to drive across an entire continent. Of course, this analogy is a simplification of the differences between the two, but it still serves as an important boundary nonetheless.
