This book aims to introduce recent advances in IoT and its applications for smart environments. The state of the art is reviewed with a focus on the technologies, applications, challenges, and opportunities. Chapter, “Cyber-Attack Measures in Smart Cities and Grids.” The fact that IoT devices used in smart cities have intelligence does not mean that they are safer. In smart environments and cities, the IoT applications’ data communications protocols should be geared towards security. All smart systems should be managed from a security perspective and necessary precautions should be taken.
