This book aims to teach the use of R language for practicing statistics in the context of data handling, presentation, and analysis. The book not only introduces basic concepts of R programming but also explains statistical concepts where necessary. A needful discussion on basic data structure such as vectors, matrices, arrays, and lists has been presented with examples. Exploratory examination and transformation of data, editing, importing, exporting, appending, merging, binning, generation of data, subsetting, dealing with outliers, and NA values have been given in this book. Recycling rule and performing different arithmetic have been explained with examples. Functions related to descriptive statistics and graphical representation of data have been discussed. The use of combination, permutation, probability, and some popular discrete and continuous probability distributions have been included through practical examples. For mean, proportion, variance, difference between means, confidence interval and comparison tests have been explained. Thus, this book would be a good companion to a text or course on statistics. It also explores linear and non-linear modeling, model selection and diagnostic tools in R.
