Немецкий истребитель Halberstadt D.V (1916) Конструкция истребителя Halberstadt D.V, немецкой компании Halberstadt Flugzeug-Werke GmbH базировалась на более ранней своей разработке Halberstadt D.III и аналогично была оснащена тем же двигателем Argus As II мощностью 120 л.с. Однако, на новом самолете значительно была изменена конструкция элеронов и переделана центральная часть фюзеляжа, что значительно увеличило обзор летчику в бою. На истребителе устанавливался один пулемет LMG 08/15 Spandau, однако на последних D.V стояли уже сдвоенные синхронизированные пулеметы этого типа. На фронт D.V стали поступать осенью 1916 года. Всего к концу года фирмой Halberstadter Flugzeug-Werke было произведено 50 (по другим данным 55) истребителей, а в 1917 году еще 37. Отметим также, что большинство самолетов производства 1917 года пошли на вооружение ВВС Турции. Для действий в условиях Средиземного моря на D.V поставили дополнительные радиаторы, что привело к увеличению веса аэроплана и как следствие к ухудшению его общих характеристик. На Западном фронте D.V фактически были выведены с фронта летом 1917 года и только в Палестине они состояли на вооружении до 1918 года
