В книгах "Нужная работа" (1994) и "Вымысел исключен" (1996) я попытался в весьма сжатой форме привлечь внимание общественности к проблеме "Малой войны", проанализированной М. Дробовым в 1931 году в работе с одноименным названием. С тех пор прошло почти 70 лет, отгремели Вторая мировая война, Великая Отечественная война нашего народа против фашизма, война между Северной и Южной Кореей, война во Вьетнаме, уходит в прошлое почти десятилетнее пребывание и участие советских войск в боевых действиях в Афганистане.
